Climatic Testing - Temperature, Humidity and Salt Mist
High and Low Temperature Testing
Our modern laboratory is equipped with three environmental chambers including a large walk-in chamber which enables us to test
larger products or to batch test multiple items. Each chamber can perform the high temperature, low temperature and high humidity
tests.
High or low temperatures can significantly alter the electrical and mechanical properties of equipment making some materials brittle,
electronic components fail or sealed products leak due to different expansion or contraction rates of materials. Our state-of-the-art laboratory can perform either
long duration extreme temperatures or temperature cycles to stress test products, ensuring reliability or identifying any weaknesses.
With a temperature range of -70 degrees C to 180 degrees C we can test to all major approval standards. The chambers are fully programmable with regards
to ramp and hold rates. Any user defined sequence can be programmed. With calibrated computerised logging and graphical temperature
charts we ensure accuracy and repeatability for all testing we perform.

High Humidity Testing
Combinations of variable humidity and temperature are of particular concern for the design of electronics. Moisture build up
may lead to short circuiting and product failure. High and low humidity can also affect electrical characteristics such as
increased conductivity at higher humidity or electrostatic discharges at low humidity.
With a relative humidity range of 10 - 95% we can test to all major approval standards. Our environmental test chambers are
fully programmable with regards to ramp and hold rates. Any user defined sequence can be programmed. With calibrated computerised
logging and graphical temperature charts we ensure accuracy and repeatability for all testing we perform.

Salt Mist Testing
Salt spray or salt fog testing is a requirement for products which are used in the Marine Industry and is mandatory for
equipment that will be installed on deck. Salt spray testing is also a standard in the Automotive Industry for certain components.
To simulate the corrosive effects the equipment is exposed to a salt mist for a period of time from a few hours up to many days.
In our test laboratory we perform salt mist testing according to international standards.
